I am a frequent lecturer and have been a presenter at the Arkansas Federal Tax Institute, the Mid-South Conference on Estate Planning, the National Citizens’ Coalition for Nursing Home Reform in Washington, D.C., The Arkansas Trial Lawyers Association, the Arkansas Bar Association, and numerous local events.

My family settled in Arkansas over 150 years ago near Selma.  I grew up in El Dorado and studied in Jonesboro and Memphis.  My law practice is located in Little Rock.

I have been married to Beth for 40 years and have one daughter, Sara.

I was a delegate to the White House Conference on Aging, in 1995, which helped form policies for aging issues for nearly 20 years.  I am a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, the Arkansas Bar Association and the Arkansas Trial Lawyers Association as well as a Charter Member of the Special Needs Alliance.  The Arkansas Gerontological Society named me a fellow of the organization in 2003.   I served on the Community Advisory Committee for the UAMS Alzheimer's Disease Center.
